Retirement Survey

2026 will be the first year for the implementation of improved benefits under Senate Bill 172, which raises the benefit multiplier from 2.5% to 3% intermittently over the next few years.  

Starting July 1, 2026, anyone with over 25 years of service will be eligible for the 3% multiplier.  If a member elects the Backdrop, that member must have over 25 years of credited service after the election to receive the 3% multiplier.   

OPPRS is conducting a brief survey to gain insight on how planned retirements will impact the System.  Attached are a few survey questions to assist OPPRS in planning for the effects SB 172 will have on the System.  All responses to this survey are anonymous and will only be used for operational planning.
